Surah 103: Al-Asr, or The Afternoon

1. By the afternoon,
2. Indeed, man is surely in loss,
3. Except those who believe and do righteous deeds, and counsel each other unto the truth, and counsel each other unto patience.

1. Means either the afternoon or a period of restricted time–is it time? not time-and-space. “Season,” or “hour,” or “day” can have these restricted meanings in English.
